GPSR

Due to new laws coming into place on dec 13th, beeeans will need to cease trading with the EU. It's not something I want to do, but unfortunately shipping between UK and EU is becoming more complicated. Some of you probably already know that I had to stop shipping to some countries due to packaging laws.

What is GPSR?

It basically means adding more safety information to everything sold to the EU and NI. Gov website is hard to understand but i've found ebay has been the most helpful, you can read their Q&A here-

I don't understand the depth of this yet, if it will actually affect beeeans significantly or not. Depending on who and what this applies to, it could be very time consuming/costly, in particular appointing a EU representative. 

Why block all of Europe?

I'll be blocking all of Europe from sales at beeeans from Dec 6th. Except UK obviously since thats where i am!

From running a store standpoint for shipping profiles, its just easier to blanket ban them all. I've historically never made many sales to european non-eu countries so its just not worth the risk having them included if the law suddenly extends to them at a later date.

This law currently also affects countries part of EEA (Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein).
